Meet Your Host
Hi! I’m Maria, mom, avid reader, and summit host. I recently retired from teaching to pursue financial planning.
I’m a total money nerd but realize that not everyone wants to talk about money all of the time. For some women, money is still taboo and uncomfortable.
My approach to financial planning is a blend of teaching and planning. My focus is to not only create a financial plan that works for your goals but to help you implement it as well.
I’ve attended and participated in virtual summits in the past. And have always been disappointed with lack of the female representation, even though there are some incredibly smart, amazing female voices in the personal finance space.
Wanting to help women with their finances has been a big driver behind this summit. It’s time for Canadian women to have a safe place to learn from and with each other about money.

When
The Women Can Money Virtual Summit will run from May 7 – 9, 2025 with a variety of presentations to choose from each day.
Where
You can tune into the summit from anywhere with internet access. Yes that’s right, you can watch the videos from your couch in your yoga pants while having a bad hair day.
Presentations
Presentations are max 45 minutes in length. And The presentations will be available for 48-hours to encourage you to stop waiting for the right time and take action along with hundreds of other Canadian women.

Absolutely not. The only person you’ll get emails from once you sign up is me, Maria. I will be sending you updates about the summit as well as a daily recap email with that day’s videos. During each presentation the speakers will share with you how you can opt-in for their freebie. To avoid tech glitches, save my sanity, and keep things easy for the speakers, the presentations are pre-recorded and will be released daily. I know how busy life can get so all of the presentations for that day will be released first thing in the morning (and you will get an email with all of the links).
