What Is the Women Can Money Summit?
Money talk can be uncomfortable for some and even a taboo for others. I’m ready to change that.
The Women Can Money Summit is my way of breaking down some of the barriers around money for women. It is a place where Canadian women can learn about all things money from other Canadian women. And this year’s topic is all about family finances.
There are some amazingly smart Canadian women when it comes to money and personal finance. So I thought why not bring together a bunch of financial voices to get the conversation started?
This is where you come in.
Together we can create a safe space for women to learn about money while increasing their financial literacy. Hopefully it sparks more money conversations around the country.
The Women Can Money Summit is a place that is dedicated to Canadian-specific content for women from women. No 401k talk or mansplaining here.

Presentation Guidelines
- Presentations will be pre-recorded and can be interview or masterclass style based on your area of expertise. The tone of the interviews is conversational and informative. The tone of masterclasses is informative and actionable.
- Edited interviews will be 25-30 minutes. When scheduling your time for an interview the time blocks are 1 hour to ensure there is enough time to verify the audio and video and answer any last minute questions you may have.
- To book an interview please find a time that works for you here.
- The presentations are to be value focused and action oriented. Try to think of one action item attendees can take away from your presentation/interview.
- Please do not try to sell anything during your presentation or interview. The videos are not to be webinar style. There will be an opportunity at the end of the interview/presentation for you to share a free offer.
- Masterclass style presentations should be no longer than 45 minutes, with 25-30 minutes being ideal. And should be completely unique and not previously available online or elsewhere.

Yes, attendees will get free access to the summit just by signing up. Free access will enable attendees to watch the videos for 48 hours.
The VIP All Access Pass is more than just lifetime access to the videos. The Pass also includes the following:
- Monthly office hours
- Audio only version of the presentations (podcast style)
- Curated presentation notes
- Entry into VIP summit giveaways
- Downloadable resources
- And more
The VIP All Access Pass is $97 and is only available to purchase until the end of the summit. Attendees that sign up before the summit starts are entered win one of 3 – $100 cash prizes.
If you have opted for an interview, once it’s scheduled and recorded all you have to do is decide how you want to market or share the summit with your audience to take full advantage of the 50% affiliate commission.
Once you’ve booked your interview and completed your speaker information form I will send you a few questions to help get us started during the interview. If there is something specific you would like to make sure we discuss, just let me know.
All interviews and presentations have to be recorded and sent to hello@womencanmoney.com by April 1, 2025, to ensure that there is enough time for editing.

Once you agreed to speak at this year’s summit you should have received an email with your speaker agreement. If you have not yet received your agreement, please just let me know.
The time slots are scheduled for 1 hour but the final interview will be 25-30 minutes.
As much or as little as you are comfortable with. Because speakers receive a 50% affiliate commission, the more you promote, the more you stand to make off of registrations when your audience uses your link to register.
Yes, there is. Speakers receive a 50% affiliate commission on all paid registrations. Sign up details will be shared with speakers once they are available.
The promo period for this year’s summit starts April 23, 2025.
Yes there will be an opportunity at the end of the interview for you to share a free opportunity with attendees. There will also be links to your freebie and website under your video on the website. There is however no advertising of paid programs during the summit.
There is no speaker fee for this event. But I have tried to streamline everything as much as possible so that the work required on your part is not extraneous. You will also earn a 50% affiliate commission and there is no cap on the amount you can earn with that.
Speakers receive a 50% affiliate commission on all paid registrations.
- The best way to leverage this opportunity is to have an opt-in that aligns with what you will be speaking about. Once attendees connect with you they can join your email list. From there, it’s up to you to decide how to maximize the opportunity.
- You can also have the double benefit of having your audience use your affiliate link to register. You will receive a 50% affiliate commission for all attendees who use your link to sign up.

Benefits of Contributing a Paid Product to the VIP All Access Pass
As a speaker you have the option to contribute a paid product to the VIP All Access Pass. Pass holders will receive your product as part of the VIP All Access Pass when they decide to purchase it.
By contributing a paid product you help to increase the value of the VIP All Access Pass and therefore help justify the purchase for attendees.
This makes the summit and VIP All Access Pass easier for you to promote. Your audience already knows how awesome you are, why wouldn’t they want to jump on something you promote as worthwhile?
Having your product as part of the VIP All Access Pass also gives you increased exposure as it will be featured to all attendees as they are provided an option to buy the pass.
The affiliate commission you can earn from the sale of the VIP All Access Pass will more than make up for your contribution.

Speaker To Do List

1. Complete Speaker Information Form
I’m pumped you’ve agreed to speak. This form takes just a few minutes to complete but provides valuable information about you for the summit.

2. Sign and Return Speaker Agreement
Once you’ve completed the Speaker Information Form I will email you a speaker agreement for you to sign and return ASAP.

2a. Schedule Interview
If you would like to do an interview, they are scheduled for 1 hour to ensure there is enough time to get the recording. All Interviews MUST BE RECORDED by APRIL 1, 2025.

3. Prepare for & Record Presentation/Interview
Have specific questions you would like to know? Just let me know. At least one week before your interview I will send you some questions to help get our interview conversation started. All interviews/presentations MUST BE RECORDED by APRIL 1, 2025.

4. Plan Your Promo
Once the affiliate program is ready you will receive resources to help with your promo. The promo period is April 23, 2023 – May 7, 2025.

5. Complete Speaker Feedback Form
The week after the summit you will receive a feedback form in your inbox. I would be ever so grateful if you took a few minutes to provide your honest feedback.

I’m Maria, mom, teacher, and personal finance blogger at Handful of Thoughts and host of the Women Can Money Virtual Summit.
I’m a total money nerd but realize that not everyone wants to talk about it all the time. I started my blog as an outlet to share thoughts, ideas and lessons with other moms.
